St Peter's High School provides a high quality education within the context of a Christian environment. An understanding of the Roman Catholic faith, in line with the Gospel message, underpins the whole work of the school.
The main aim is to develop the self esteem, dignity and respect of all members of the community by concentrating on each person's infinite worth in the eyes of God.
St Mary’s is the designated catholic school for baptised
catholic children from the parishes of Our Lady’s of Perpetual
Succour (Churchdown) and St Patrick’s (Brockworth).
The Playgroup has a purpose built outside play area funded by the Gloucestershire County Council Early Years Capital Funding Grant. The playgroup also has use of the school reception class outside play area and also of the main school playing field for additional outside play.
Our playgroup offers education and care for children below school age and over the age of 2½. We have a close relationship with St Mary's Catholic Primary School as well as the Church. We consider ourselves a Catholic Playgroup that welcomes children from all faiths and religions. From our website you can download our brochure and an application form and find contact details. Originally established from the Gloucestershire Association of Primary Head Teachers (GAPH) it began with a small working party wanting to bring children, staff and governors together. The partnership head teacher group meet six times a year with an aim to promote links between schools, to share good practice, develop staff skills and source high quality training opportunities. TDP recognise the need to save resources, and be innovative in our practice.

The partnership consists of nine primary schools, two senior schools and one independent special needs college. Originally established as the Gloucester Catholic Schools Partnership (GCSP) the collective has been working together for many years with a specific focus upon the religious dimension of schools and ensuring high quality Catholic education.
The partnership commenced in summer 2021 and is already flourishing. The transition from primary to secondary school can be a challenging one and we are committed to ensuring that our pupils are best prepared for their move to KS3. The scope of the collective working includes:
-Developing close partnerships between our subject leaders and the secondary heads of department.
-Providing opportunities for pupils in Years 5 & 6 to undertake curriculum projects with visiting staff and within the KS3 environment.
-Working upon developing appropriate progressions and fluency between the KS2 -KS3 programmes of study.
