Catch-Up Premium

To combat the impact of Covid-19 related school closure, schools have been given dedicated funding, from the government, to support pupils who have fallen behind in their learning. The Catch-Up Premium has been provided to schools for the 2020-21 academic year.

The funding is to ensure that schools have the resources they need to help all pupils make up for lost teaching time, with extra support for those who need it most.

Schools are given the equivalent of £80 per pupil for all pupils on roll (Reception to Year 6). The funding that we received was £17,440 and was used to provide a targeted range of interventions, 1-2-1 / small group tuition and remote tuition sessions (through the National Tutoring Programme).
